Teeth Whitening For A Brighter, Whiter Smile

What Is Teeth Whitening?

At Epsom Dental Centre, we understand how important your smile is. At Epsom Dental Centre we offer a professional and safe teeth whitening treatment which produces impressive results.

Tooth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure that gradually lightens the colour of your teeth. There are a number of different teeth whitening techniques that range from home whitening kits to professional teeth whitening procedures in your dental clinic.

Enlighten Teeth Whitening

At Epsom Dental Centre

Enlighten Teeth Whitening is a professional teeth whitening treatment known for its effectiveness in achieving remarkable and lasting results. This treatment has gained popularity for its ability to lighten teeth beyond the capabilities of many over-the-counter products. The process involves a combination of in-office and at-home treatments, making it a comprehensive approach to teeth whitening.

The procedure typically begins with a consultation to assess the current shade of the patient’s teeth and determine the appropriate treatment plan. During the in-office session, a special whitening gel is applied to the teeth, and a unique activator is used to enhance the whitening process. The procedure is carefully monitored to ensure both safety and efficacy. Following the in-office treatment, patients are provided with a take-home kit to continue the whitening process at their convenience. The at-home kit includes custom-fitted trays and a milder whitening gel to be used for a specified period.

What sets Enlighten Teeth Whitening apart is its focus on minimising tooth sensitivity, a common concern with many teeth whitening treatments. Patients often report achieving a noticeably brighter and whiter smile, with outcomes that can last for an extended period.

Why Might You Need Teeth Whitening Treatment?

Over time, your teeth may become stained from consuming certain foods and drinks such as coffee, red wine or blackcurrant. Smoking tobacco products and build-up of tartar can also cause your teeth to become discoloured.

Teeth whitening treatments can help to restore the natural white colour of your teeth, improving your smile and bringing back your confidence.

How Does The Whitening Process Work?

Your teeth are made up principally of two layers: a dentine layer, which forms the bulk of the tooth, and enamel, a harder outer shell. Over time, enamel can be stained by consuming certain food and drink, and also by smoking.

When we whiten your teeth, we use a specially formulated gentle dental bleaching material which breaks down these stains using a regular oxidation reaction. The bleaching gel is held against your tooth using a custom-made whitening tray.

This tray is carefully crafted to ensure that it fits microscopically around the edges of your teeth to prevent the whitening gel from touching your delicate gum.

If the bleaching gel touches your gum for too long, then it can cause irritation.

This is why we always recommend having your teeth whitening done by a qualified dental professional.

Epsom Dental Centre’s Teeth Whitening Procedure

tooth whitening before and after

Our qualified dental professionals are experts when it comes to teeth whitening treatments. We offer a combination teeth whitening treatment, which involves a two week home treatment followed by a one hour visit to the dentist.

You will normally be required to wear the bleaching trays with the whitening gel for two hours per day for two weeks.

The good thing about this treatment is that you simply continue whitening until you have reached your desired final shade, which is often much lighter than the lightest standard B1 shade.

It would be our pleasure to discuss a teeth whitening treatment plan with you. Please contact us today.

Are We Are The Cheapest Place To Have Teeth Whitening In Epsom?

The honest answer to this is probably not. There may well be cheaper alternatives locally provided to you by non-dentally qualified people.

However, it is illegal to offer teeth whitening treatments, unless you are a qualified dentist. This is to protect consumers from the risks associated with unprofessional and unregulated teeth whitening treatments. Your health is too important to be left to chance.

We offer a highly personalised and tailored service, with convenient dental plans, a choice of appointment reminders, and guarantees on the quality of our work.

We are an accredited mouth cancer screening organisation, so you can be assured of the finest quality and safest dentistry.

This is, by far, the best dental practice I have ever used. I am a nervous customer and receive nothing but kindness and understanding when going for dental care from the reception staff through to all the dentists and support staff. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
